Biography

Dr. María C Pérez-Yus  PHD Cum Laude with International Mention by the Department of Medicine, Psychiatry and Dermatology, of the University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR), doctoral thesis title: “Efficacy of a computer based psychotherapy program for the treatment of major depression in Primary Care: a Randomized Controlled Trial”. My education is in Health Sciences, Graduated in Psychology by the National University of Distance Education (UNED), and in Physiotherapy by UNIZAR; and in teaching, Master in Teaching, Educational Guidance, Faculty of Education, UNIZAR. I attended doctoral studies and access Master, Master of Introduction to Research in Medicine, in UNIZAR. WORK EXPERIENCE I have developed my professional activity as a Physiotherapist and an Educational Guide. In 2010, I obtained an internship scholarship by the Aragon Institute of Health Sciences (IACS) within the research group “Research Group in Mental Health” (B76), Department of Science, Technology and University of the Government of Aragon. Subsequently, and within the same research group, I was a research technician by the Institute of Health Carlos III (ISCIII). In 2012, I was awarded a Predoctoral Scholarship in Health Research (PFIS) four years duration by the ISCIII. At present, I am an Associate Professor in the Degree of Psychology, Department of Psychology and Sociology; and in the Master in Mindfulness, Department of Medicine.
