Biography
Telecommunication Engineer (1995) and Doctor of Telecommunication Engineering (2000) by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. In 1999, he joined the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, where he has taught in the degrees of Telecommunication Engineer, Telecommunication Engineering Engineer, Industrial Technical Engineer, Technical Architecture and Degree in Telecommunication Systems Engineering, and has given doctoral courses since 2001 in the programs of Information Technologies and Communications and Industrial Technologies. He is the author of 8 books in the field of radiofrequency and microwave and has recognized three sections of the component for educational merits of the specific complement. In 2001 he received the award for the best doctoral thesis on telecommunications in the Valencian Community. He was a guest lecturer at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA) in 2001, authored 30 articles in JCR indexed journals, 26 in non-indexed and non-indexed scientific publications and 2 book chapters, and presented 66 papers at international conferences and 19 in national, has directed 5 doctoral theses and is a reviewer in 9 indexed publications. He is an evaluator of ANEP and has been in calls for regional R & D & I plans and in calls for national programs such as Innpacto, Emplea or Challenges-Collaboration of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, as well as for companies certifying research projects. He has participated in 23 research projects of competitive regional, national and European public calls. Of these, he was responsible researcher at 8 and coordinator of a European project. He has participated in 10 research contracts and 35 in technical assistance, being responsible researcher in 8 and 31, respectively. He is the author of 5 patents and was founding partner of the technology-based company Emite Ingeniería, participated by the UPCT, in 2006. It has three sections of research recognized by CNEAI.
