Biography
ACADEMIC TRAINING: Degree in Medicine and Surgery obtained in 1992 from The University of Malaga. SPECIALIST RESIDENCY: Specialist degree in Nephrology following residency at the Del Rio Hortega University Hospital in Valladolid (2000). AREAS OF EXPERTISE: • The prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of kidney and urinary tract illnesses, hydroelectrolytic alterations, and of the acid-base equilibria. • Prevention, diagnosis and treatment of arterial hypertension and of vascular risk factors, particularly the detection and treatment of secondary and refractory arterial hypertension. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Medical specialist in Nephrology in the hemodialysis centers contracted by the Andalucian Health Service: The Torremolinos Dialysis Center and the La Axarquía Dialysis Center, from 2000 – 2005.
