Biography
Joan Ballesteros is a bachelor in Chemical Sciences from the University of Barcelona and a doctor in Biomedicine from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine of the University of New York, USA. He has published more than 40 articles in journals of international prestige and is known worldwide for his work in pharmacology, applications of flow cytometry in the evaluation of drugs and computational models of drug activity. Joan is a Founding Partner and Chief Scientific Officer of the company Novasite Pharmaceuticals in San Diego, California, a company that developed the basis of the ExviTech technological platform under his leadership and management. Joan headed Novasite for more than five years, and obtained more than $14M in NIH grants and more than $20M in total funding.
