Biography

 Born in Barcelona on November 20, 1963. Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona in 1988. Residence in General and Digestive Surgery at Mutua de Terrassa Hospital (1989-1993) via MIR. Title of specialist in General Surgery and of the Digestive System (1993) Professor of the Professional School of Nursing of San Juan de Dios. Autonomous University of Barcelona (1990-1992). Training in coloproctology at the Department of Colorectal Surgery, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA, and Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA 1994. Member of the Faculty of Teknon Medical Center since its foundation in 1994. Incorporation to Surgical Surgeons Associates in 1994. Co-organizer of the First Seminar on Endorectal Ultrasound. Advances in surgery of colon, rectum and anus. Barcelona. March 1995 "Visiting-surgeon" at the Department of Colorectal Surgery, Cleveland Clinic Florida, Fort Lauderdale, Fl, USA, February 1996. Member of the Spanish Association of Surgeons. Member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the University of Minnesota Alumni Association.
