Joined Hayleys in 1981. Appointed to the Group Management Committee in 2001.Appointed to the Board in August 2004. Holds a B.A. (Hons.) degree from the University of Kelaniya and a MBA from the University of Colombo. Member of the Agri Cluster of the National Council for Economic Development. Represents Hayleys on the Board of Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (NANCO). Serves on the National Committee on Biotechnology of the National Science Foundation. A current member of the main committee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce while having served as Vice Chairman of the Imports Section, Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
