Biography
Mr. Newton Wickramasuriya was appointed Chairman of the Company in 2010. He holds a B. Sc Engineering degree from the University of Ceylon, Peradeniya, and is a Chartered Engineer in UK and Sri Lanka. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK), and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka. A past President of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka, and a past Chairman of the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries, he is presently the Director/CEO of Central Industries PLC. He is also a Member of the LHI Share Trust. He has served on the Boards of several statutory bodies, and counts over 40 years of experience in industry here and abroad.
