Biography
She developed a fall prevention program focusing on treating those with positional vertigo, as well as other illnesses resulting in imbalance and dizziness. During the last 8 years she excelled in orthopedic and sports medicine PT practicing in both Richmond, VA and Honolulu, HI. Danene is proficient in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal impairments and joint dysfunctions of both elite athletes and weekend warriors, whether non-surgical or post-surgical in nature. Some of her other projects include corporate wellness, post-race injury assessment, clinical instructor/mentorship, and multi-media community outreach. Danene advocates the importance of evaluating and treating the body as a whole as it relates to functional movement and gait. She enjoys making PT interesting through thoughtful manual treatments, creative exercise prescription, and educating her clients every step of the way. Having a deep respect for the mission of The Gait Center and its many projects, she looks forward to joining the team to continue providing the best possible PT for those with amputation and other challenging gait anomalies. Out of the office, Danene is certified to teach yoga and enjoys hiking, stand up paddle boarding, traveling, dog rescue, and sustainable gardening.
