Dr. Pradeep Samarasekere is working as an Senior Lecturer (Grade II) in Computational Chemistry in the Faculty of Computing and Technology, University of Kelaniya. He is an expert in teaching topics like Chemistry for Technology, Introduction to Engineering Materials, Waste Management and Technology and Commercialization Concepts in Technology.
Research Interest
Applied coordination chemistry for the selective extraction of precious and rare metals from urban mines (e-waste recycling), Sustainable chemistry for affordable and clean energy technologies and Low-dimensional Solid-state materials for electronic, magnetic, and superconducting applications.
