Academic Qualifications Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), University Business School, Panjab University, India, 2003 Master of Commerce (M.Com) First Class, Panjab University, India, 1992 Bachelor of Commerce (Special) (B.Com) First Class Honours, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, 1983 Membership in Professional Organizations Council member of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. Scholarships and Awards Awarded Indian Council for Cultural Relation (ICCR) scholarship from Indian Government to pursue Master Degree at Panjab University, Chandigarh, India in 1990. Awarded Bronze Medal for 25 years of meritorious service in University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka in the year 2010. Vice-Chancellor’s award in the field of “The Most Outstanding Researcher in the Faculty of Commerce & Management Studies in 2011.”
