Biography
I graduated from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, with a B.Sc. Special Degree in Zoology with First Class Honors. For my graduate degrees, I have carried out my research in the field of ecology, specifically avian ecology. My research interests include population ecology of birds, especially rare species and species with limited distributions, and bird behavior. I am also interested in the ecology of large mammals. I teach courses in ecology, ornithology, mammalogy, and wildlife management.

Bird ecology and behavior, wildlife ecology.
