Asa Salgadoe

Biography

His professional life begins with the acquisition of B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) degree majoring in Horticulture and Landscape gardening from the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka in 2012. Immediately he was recruited as a demonstrator to the department of Horticulture and Landscape gardening and was appointed as Lecturer (Prob.) in 2014. His research interests are focused on phytopathology, sustainable agriculture, landscape designing, horticulture and food science. My goal as a lecturer and a researcher is to find out sustainable solutions in phytopathology ensuring food security. He always prefer multidisciplinary approaches with the latest technology which the agricultural community can benefit. My career in research began with the experience and guidance he obtained by late Prof. DB Kelaniyangoda as the research assistant in his projects. As a youngscientist he work in collaboration with private and state, national and international sector institutions, companies and agricultural farmers.
