Biography
He Graduated in 1993 with B.Sc.(special) degree in Physics from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He Joined with the Solid State Ionics research group of Department of Physics, University of Peradeniya in 1995. He Started research career on electroactive polymers under the supervision of Prof. M.A. Careem and Prof. M.A.K.L. Dissanayake. In 1996, he awarded a fellowship by the International Programme for Physical Sciences, Uppsala, Sweden for a period of two years to carry on the Ph.D. studies at the Institute of Chemistry, Technical University of Denmark. He Completed his Ph.D. with the title “Polypyrrole Based Conducting Polymers and their Electrochemomechanical Properties” in the year 2000. He Joined to Department of Electronics, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka in 2001 as a senior Lecturer. He Received merit promotion to the [post of Professor in the year 2011.
