Shantha P. Herath

Biography

Dr. Shantha P. Herath obtained a B.A. Special degree in Economics with a First Class from the University of Sri Jayewardenapura and has successfully completed M.A. in Economics from the University of Colombo and M.S.Sc. from the University of Kelaniya. He has obtained a postgraduate diploma in Business Statistics from the University of Sri Jayewardenapura and completed his PhD in international trade from the Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) in China. Dr. Herath started his academic career as a Temporary Lecturer in the Department of Economics soon after his graduation. He worked in the University of Sri Jayewardenapura until he joined to the Department of Banking and Finance of the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka in 2003. Currently he is working as the Head of the Department of Banking and Finance. Dr. Shantha P.
