Biography
The founder, late Mr. C.Blaise Wijeyeratne, completed a degree in Natural Sciences and went to London where he completed his studies at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He returned to Sri Lanka in 1948 and subsequently established the firm. The company was the correspondent of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Company for a period of time ending in 1983. When the founder of the firm passed away in 1987, his son Mr. C.Sunimal Wijeyeratne member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, returned from abroad, to join the partnership. He is at present the precedent partner of the firm. Wijeyeratne and Company became a member firm of Moores Rowland International from 2001 to 2008. The existing clientele of W & Co. Group includes a public quoted company and over 500 other companies, non-profit organizations and partnerships. Tax clients of the firm include individuals, which exceeds 350. In addition to the Audit and Taxation services, we provide Business Outsourcing Services also.
