Biography
In 2005, Michal obtained his master’s degree in Biology at the University of Lodz, Poland. Later on he completed an internship at Novartis AG, Switzerland where he gained hands-on experience in pre-clinical drug development in the industrial environment. Michal obtained his Ph.D. in medical biology from the University of Basel, Switzerland in 2010. The thesis project was focused at tumor-stroma derived gene expression patterns as prognosticators in breast cancer. Application of skills mastered during Ph.D. continued during his postgraduate research fellowship at University of Zurich, Switzerland, which concerned generation and characterization of mouse models for kidney cancer with a special focus at clear cell renal carcinoma.
