Dr. Beat BÃœhlmann

Biography

 Beat was an early investor in QualySense and has been a member of the Board of Directors of since 2013. He has more that 20 years of experience working in the field of Venture Capital and Private Equity. During his career Beat was responsible for fundraisings from institutional investors as well as investments in the amount of several billions USD. He has managed direct investments as well as co-investments and fund investments in various sectors around the globe. Since 2013 he serves as the Chairman of Ferrum, a family owned industrial group active in the global beverage and food industry (market leader in can seamers) as well as the chemical, fine chemical, oil and pharmaceutical industry (centrifuge technology). As a business angel he is backing various start-ups in Europe and the US. He is also Vice-Chairman of Invision, Chairman of Phytoceuticals, serves on the Board of several other companies and supports the Swiss Government as a CTI start-up coach. Beat Buehlmann earned a PhD in Banking and Finance from the University of Zurich and completed the AMP at Harvard Business School. He was born in 1968 and lives in Zurich.
