Biography
Geoffrey Scott was an early investor in QualySense and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2012. He has more that 40 years experience working in the field of high technology analytical and measuring instrumentation. He has broad international experience of general management, strategy and business development, innovation and product development, sales, marketing and after-sales. From 2002 to 2016 he was the CEO of Uster Technologies AG, the market leader for quality testing instruments & standards for the cotton/textile industry. He led the company through 2 private equity financings, an IPO in 2007 on the Swiss SIX exchange and a takeover by Toyota Industries Corporation in 2012. He is now Co-Chairman of Uster Technologies and also serves on the Advisory Board of Humatica, a boutique-consulting firm. Geoffrey Scott earned a BSc Honors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Liverpool, and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Nottingham. He was the 2008 Ernst & Young Swiss Entrepreneur of the Year (Industry). He was born in 1954 and is a British citizen.
