Biography

AddBIO AB has recruited Ulf Sewerin as CEO. Most recently, Ulf Sewerin has worked as a consultant in the dental implant industry, and prior to this he was Area Director for the Asia Pacific region and Area Manager for UK and Ireland at Biomet 3i. He has also been Area Manager and Market Developer at Astra Tech and held various managerial positions at both Fresenius Kabi and Biocare. ”With the recently published, very strong clinical results and the positive feedback we have received from the market I am confident that Zolidd will play an important role in the implant industry, and look forward to leading the company during these exiting times”, says Ulf Sewerin. ”Former CEO Dr. Trine Vikinge has successfully taken the company to the point where we now have successful clinical results in place, meaning that we are now ready for partnering discussions for the dental market. Research Interest

AddBIO AB has developed Zolidd®, a proprietary bioactive nanolayer for orthopedic and dental implants that releases bisphosphonate, a bone strengthening drug. In February, positive results from a randomized clinical trial, conducted at Linköping University Hospital in Sweden, were presented that show that dental implants with a bisphosphonate nanolayer have improved stability.
