Håkan Ahlström

Biography

Håkan is Head Physician at the Department of Radiology at Uppsala University Hospital, and Professor of Radiology at Uppsala University. He has been PI for more than 30 Phase 1-3 clinical trials. Håkan either has been, or still is, a member of: the Ethics Committee of Uppsala University; the Research Committee of the European Association of Academic Radiology; the Board of European Society of Radiology Research Committee; the Scientific Advisory Board of the European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research; the Scientific Advisory Group in Diagnostics at the European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products; and Reviewer, (Program Committee), of the Swedish Cancer Society.

Research Interest

He is author of more than 240 peer-reviewed publications in cardio-metabolic and oncologic imaging, and PI of the first PET/MR scanner installed in Sweden. He has also been the scientific supervisor for more than 30 PhD students.
