Biography
Knut Erik started his career by working as an apprentice in metal forming with extrusion of aluminum at Benteler Aluminium. His MSc in metallurgy from NTNU, Trondheim, focused on light metal forming, and he was named the best student at the faculty. Since 2009, Knut Erik has held various positions at the Raufoss manufacturing cluster, and he has worked the past few years at the independent R&D company SINTEF Raufoss Manufacturing. Focus here has been on the development of thermomechanical processes for aluminum, titanium and brass for a wide range of customers, including complete value chains with both suppliers and customers. He has been part of the R&D team at AP&T since 2015, with primary focus on aluminum projects.
