Sanli Erkan

Biography

Sanli Erkan graduated from Besiktas Ataturk Anatolian High school in 1994 and he learned both English and French during his high school education. He continued to Istanbul Medical Faculty, Istanbul University and obtained his Medical Degree in 2000. During these years he also took Italian and Spanish lessons to increase his knowledge in Latin language family. He continued to specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty and completed his specialization in 2006. As an Obligatory service to the Government he served at Mardin for three years between 2007 - 2010. He finally obtained his diploma in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2010 following the completion of the Govermental Service. He passed the specialists exam to begin working at Istanbul Bagcilar Education and Research Hospital. At the end of 2011, he had to take a radical decision for the success and continuation of the family run business and decided to work full-time at BioGen Medical company. Using his knowledge and skills in the field, he obtained the distributorship of PrenaTestTM, non-invasive, molecular genetic, prenatal diagnostic test and he is actively working fort he success of this huge Project. He aims to diagnose Trisomy 21, 18 and 13 non-invasively at the early stages of pregnancy and decrease the number of complications related to invasive procedures. This will lead to decrease in the number of iatrogenic miscarriages and unwanted maternal complications. More research is stil going on in the field of preeclampsia and multiple pregnancies. New cooperations with the supplier companies from Germany, Canada and Japan will enable BioGen Medical to offer high quality products and services to the researchers. More research and projects are stil going on in this line. Dr. Sanlı Erkan aims to use his skills and knowledge in the medical field to increase the success of BioGen Medical and help researchers and clinicians to complete their projects.
