Biography
Dr. Huawei (Ray) Chen is a Principal Scientist in the Oncology iMed at AstraZeneca Boston. After earning his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota at 1999 and a stint as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Chen joined AstraZeneca in 2002 and has been involved in multiple phases of cancer drug discovery. His earlier achievements include building and leading the biochemistry group and working globally to enhance lead generation capability and project delivery. In more recent years, Dr. Chen leads a biology team and plays a Lead Biologist role in delivering projects through key transitions for clinical evaluation.
