Biography
I received my PhD from Harvard University working with Professor Kishi on the total synthesis of palytoxin. After starting my medicinal chemistry career with E. R. Squibb preparing nucleoside anti-virals, I have worked in several therapeutic areas in my nearly 30 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Over the last 15 years I have led multiple chemistry teams in projects in metabolic diseases, age related diseases, atherosclerosis, and most recently immunology. The Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (Btk) team worked through numerous issues to develop BMS-986142, now in Phase II clinical studies.
