Biography
Lucas is currently Director of Chemistry at Yumanity therapeutics. A successful Leader and Manager with 14 years’ industrial experience in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery, Dr. Lucas has led multiple projects from discovery into clinical development, and has a deep knowledge of what is required to successfully optimize lead compounds and to select appropriate clinical candidates. Dr. Lucas has been exposed to diverse therapy areas including anti-infectives, pain, cardiovascular, immunology, and neuroscience that has given him a broad understanding of the various challenges in drug discovery.
