Biography
A native of Canada, Dr. Netherton received his PhD in organic chemistry from the University of British Columbia in 2000. Following a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in the research group of Professor Gregory Fu at MIT, he joined the Medicinal Chemistry department at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals in Ridgefield CT. For the last 9 years Dr. Netherton’s work has focused mainly on hit-finding and lead generation for early projects, with an emphasis on fragment- and structure-based drug design.
