Biography

Aaron Thompson received his Ph.D. in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Colorado State University, where his studies were focused on the structural biology of soluble proteins. Following his initial postdoctoral training at Pfizer Inc. where he biochemically characterized membrane proteins, he pursued additional training in the laboratory of Ray Stevens at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI). While at TSRI, Aaron Thompson authored publications on several novel G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) structures and methodologies to obtain GPCR structures. Currently Dr. Thompson is a Scientist in the New Technologies Group within the Structural Biology Department at Dart Neuroscience, LLC (San Diego CA).
