Biography
"Dr. Gorschek is a Professor of Software Engineering at Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden and part time at Chalmers University, Sweden. He is also a guest researcher at University of Auckland, NZ and University of Ulm, Germany. He was General Chair for the IEEE RE'14 conference and serves on the editorial board for the premiere Springer journal Empirical Software Engineering. His main areas of interest are product management, requirements engineering, process assessment and improvement, agile/lean PD, and practical innovation. Prof. Gorschek has over ten years of industrial experience, manages his own consultancy company, and serves on several boards in companies developing cutting edge technology and products. Prof. Gorschek supervises several PhD students and leads several research projects in collaboration with companies, including IBM, Ericsson, Qtema, Daimler AG, Volvo PV Sweden, and Sony. "
