Biography
Erik is an industrial PhD student, employed by ELU Konsult AB. As a PhD student he focuses his work on bridges in FRP (Fibre Reinforced Polymers). There are no bridges in FRP in Sweden and one of the main reasons is that there are no established requirements or design rules for such bridges. Bridges made of FRP offers advantage such as very good durability and light weight which enables off-site manufacturing and on-site assembly and easier maintenance. These benefits are of great interest to many actors, both for the owner of the infrastructure such asthe Transport Administration and local authorities but also for the industry, where manufacturers of FRP composites gain new
