Biography
Inga Malmqvist is a Professor at Chalmers Architecture and Civil Engineering and vice Director of the Formas supported AIDAH Strong Research Environment 2014-18. Inga is active within research as well as teaching. Her focus is on the situation of aging societies and how to plan good housing for the elderly as much of healthcare work takes place inside private homes. Inga leads an MSB financed research project about injuries in living areas which includes the work of one of the doctoral students who Inga supervises. One doctoral student works with operation environments and two others have done their doctoral research within elderly care and primary care facilities. For the last 10 years Inga has led a design project at masters level about sheltered housing for the elderly.
