Biography
Jiangpeng Shu is a doctoral student at the Division of Structural Engineering, research group Concrete Structures, at Chalmers. Jiangpeng Shu focuses his research topic on Load Carrying Capacity of Existing Bridge Deck Slabs. This including applications such as finite element modelling of reinforced concrete slabs, shear force and moment distribution in concrete slabs, response of concrete slabs subject to moving loads and evaluation of load carrying capacity of concrete slabs using linear and non-linear finite element methods. The goal is to develop improved, more robust methods for evaluation of existing bridge deck slabs of reinforced concrete, which will lead to more cost-efficient design and maintenance.
