Biography
Kamyab Zandi is the leader of Concrete Structures research group and Associate Professor in Concrete Structures at the Division of Structural Engineering. His research concerns with concrete infrastructures across all length scales from material level to structure and network levels. His research is primarily focused on service life assessment of concrete structures subjected to deterioration, especially corrosion of reinforcement and frost. A multi-disciplinary approach combining experiments with advanced simulation at material and structural levels based on non-linear fracture mechanics is pursued to address the multi-scale multi-physics problem of durability and service life in concrete structures.
