Biography
Laura Estévez Mauriz is a doctoral student at the Divison of Applied Acoustics, in the research group Vibroacoustics, at Chalmers. Laura’s research deals with the optimization of urban areas with respect to traffic noise and other environmental factors. In this sense, outdoor environment produce great effects on physical and psychological health. For that reason, taking care of it should be a priority for our cities. The approach to the project is from a holistic and from a large scale point of view, with special attention to urban morphology, mobility and city perception. This work is part of the SONORUS project.
