Biography
Mats Andersson performed his PhD-work at the former Departments of Organic Chemistry and Polymer Technology (Chalmers University of Technology) and he received his PhD degree in organic chemistry in 1995. After receiving his PhD-degree he spent one year as a post doc. at the Institute for Polymers and Organic Solids, University of California at Santa Barbara, working in Prof. Alan Heegers group. Thereafter, he returned to the Department of Polymer Technology where he was appointed professor in Polymer Chemistry in 2004 and he is holding a chair in Polymer Chemistry since 2007. Between 2008 -2012 he was the head of the division of Applied Chemistry at the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology. In 2011 he received Arrheniusplaketten from the Swedish Chemical Society and since 2012 he is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, IVA.
