Biography
Per-Anders Carlsson is Associate Professor of Surface Chemistry. His current research focus on functional materials such as catalysts, sensors and tailored surfaces for green chemistry and sustainable technologies. Through cross-disciplinary collaborations, methods from traditionally different branches of chemistry and physics are joined as to explore on the atomic level materials “at work”, so-called in situ or operando characterisation. The research is developed at international synchrotron facilities that can realise the most recent X-ray experiments. Theoretical methods are often used to consolidate experimental findings and guide new experiments.
