Biography
Raquel is a doctoral student at the Division of Water Environment Technology at Chalmers. She is doing her PhD in the Formas project “Aerobic granular sludge membrane bioreactor for nutrient removal from wastewater”. The goal of her research is to achieve a wastewater treatment processes using a combination of aerobic granular sludge and membrane filtration. Investigation of the membrane filtration process, granule development and growth, from both microbial and biochemical point of view, and effect on fouling will be assessed. The research is done in collaboration with the department of Chemistry and Molecular biology at the University of Gothenburg.
