Biography
Robert Kliger is a Professor at the Division of Structural Engineering, researchgroup Steel and Timber Structures. He has more than 30 years' experience within the fields of structural engineering and wood properties. As a professor within structural engineering at Department for Civil and Environmental Engineering, focus in his research is on load-bearing materials and products made of both timber and steel, their mechanical response and performance, lifetime and quality estimation. The goal is to create better understanding of these materials, but also to assess, maintain, strengthen and upgrade existing stocks of buildings and bridges that are structurally deficient and obsolete.
