Cees De Jong

Biography

Born: 20 May 1961 Education: Master of Business Administration from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, Netherlands Doctor of Medicine, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands Cees de Jong joined Chr. Hansen in April 2013 as CEO. Prior to this Cees de Jong held various managerial and board positions within the biopharmaceutical and food industry. His professional career started in 1989 with Gist-Brocades (NL) where he held different positions including Managing Director for the Industrial Pharmaceutical division. Following Gist-Brocades’ acquisition by DSM in 1998, Mr. de Jong was appointed President of the Anti-Infectives division of DSM. In 2000 he joined Campina as President for the Industrial Products Division, and from 2003 to 2007 he worked for Quest International and ICI as Group Vice President and member of the Board, heading up the Flavour Division. In 2007 Mr. de Jong joined Crucell as Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board, until 2011 when the company was acquired by Johnson & Johnson. Mr. De Jong serves as a non-executive on the Supervisory Board of ForFarmers N.V., the Netherlands.

Research Interest

In 2000 he joined Campina as President for the Industrial Products Division, and from 2003 to 2007 he worked for Quest International and ICI as Group Vice President and member of the Board, heading up the Flavour Division. In 2007 Mr. de Jong joined Crucell as Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board, until 2011 when the company was acquired by Johnson & Johnson. Mr. De Jong serves as a non-executive on the Supervisory Board of ForFarmers N.V., the Netherlands.
