Biography
Martin received his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Stockholm University in 2005. He has over 20 publications in a wide variety of fields such as phosphorus chemistry, nucleotide chemistry, medicinal chemistry, organocatalysis and biotechnology. He was fostered in leadership from an early age by the Western Swedish Navy youth organization, where he quickly became an instructor and later a leader. During Martin’s time at university he habitually took leading positions in various organizations at campus. During his time as a Ph.D. student he received several grants such as Nils Löfgrens stipendium for excellence in chemistry, and also actively participated in the scientific debate by giving presentations and participating in 5 international and 2 national conferences. After his Ph.D. Martin did 2 years of post doc at University of Minnesota – Center for drug design, Northeaster University in Boston and Stockholm University, it was during this time the idea behind Chromafora AB was developed and the company was founded together with Gaston Lavén and Henrik Rundgren.
