Biography
Ulrik is researching how to open up connected embedded systems as a precursor to "Internet of Things", and how this supports open innovation even in the field of embedded systems. The Elis project is an example. Ulrik's main interest is the implications of this technology architecture and how this in turn affects affected stakeholders, including those who provide systems, users and 3rd party developers. R & D for this must be based on sustainable business models for all stakeholders and lead to product quality perceived optimally by end users. Ulrik's strength is a holistic view, where he sees program design and architecture, method development, business models and organization that share in a successful system. This is the result of his years in industry and the opportunities he had for the rapid application and validation of his research. Ulrik has led or participated in a number of advanced industrial projects to develop the future's built-in electronics, primarily for cars. Several of these projects have required international cooperation with, for example, Volvo, Ford, Jaguar and Land Rover.
