Biography
Dr. Christiane Bruns is a Professor of Surgery at the Department of Surgery, University of Munich Hospitals, Munich, Germany. She underwent an international education in surgical oncology and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Cancer Biology (Prof. Dr. I. J. Fidler) University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Bruns is section head of oncologic surgery and co-director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center of the University of Munich Hospitals. She is an executive committee member of the international Society of Digestive Surgery (ISDS). She is also leading the German research network of general and visceral surgery of the German Society of Visceral Surgery. Her clinical and research work has been internationally and nationally recognized through publications, invited lectureships and ongoing research projects.

Her research interests lie in Healthcare and Neurology. She is the Editor-in-Chief Member of many peer reviewed journals and her area of expertise credits her with many publications in national and international journals.
