Research Interest
Mikael Åkerlund Genetic prediction of type 2 diabetes in the ENGAGE (European Network for Genetic and Genomic Epidemiology) project. In this project we investigate 48 genetic variants (SNPs) reported to be associated with type 2 diabetes and/or glycemic traits by meta-analysis of longitudinal data of a large sample size.
