Jan Frykhammar

Biography

Jan Frykhammar is Executive Vice President and Advisor to the CEO and member of Ericsson’s Executive Leadership Team. Frykhammar, temporarily held the position as President and CEO during the search for a permanent President and CEO (July 25, 2016 – January 15, 2017). In his new role as Advisor to the CEO, he will support President and CEO Börje Ekholm during a transition period, as well as focus on corporate governance and efficiency. Jan Frykhammar started working for Ericsson in 1991, right after completing his education, and has extensive experience across the business, having lived and worked in the US, UK and at the company headquarters in Sweden. He was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2009 to 2016. Since joining Ericsson, Frykhammar has held various positions in finance and business control, and he was Head of Business Unit Global Services 2008 - 2009. Between 2004 and 2005, Frykhammar was Vice President, Finance and Commercial, for Ericsson’s global customer account Vodafone, based in the UK. From 2002 to 2004 he served as CFO for Ericsson in North America. Between 1998 and 2002 he was Vice President, Business Control and IS/IT within Ericsson’s wireline operation. Frykhammar holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Economics from the University of Uppsala, Sweden. Jan Frykhammar is on the Board of Directors of the Swedish International Chamber of Commerce, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprises and Attendo AB.
