Biography
Dr. Paprotka is biologist and holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology and virology. He gained international research experience as a visiting scientist in Brazil and as a post-doctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute in the USA. For his research he received the Norman P. Salzman Memorial Award of the National Institutes of Health in 2011. He is first author of several peer reviewed publications and published in e.g. Science. In 2012, Dr. Paprotka joined GATC Biotech as Head of the R&D department and became Director of R&D in 2014. He is responsible for the development and implementation of new laboratory protocols/workflows, the Bioinformatics and the establishment of scientific cooperation’s.
