Biography
JAKE BUILT WEB BASED APPLICATIONS for IBM Global Services (New York) and Merck Rosetta Biosoftware (Seattle) and then got lured to life science nonprofit research at ISB. At ISB CompBio lab and as part of Cancer Genome Atlas data analysis, he developed interactive visualisations powered by scaleable hybrid SQL/NoSql together with ensemble decision tree methods to rank and classify structural aberrations across multiple scales and pan-cancers. He came, left and came back to Finland for grad school but really its lakes, pubs and sauna. In Genevia Jake takes care about challenging programming tasks and supports the team with IT-related issues.
