Biography
Carlos Palant is a recipient of many awards and grants for valuable contributions and discoveries in major area of research. Carlos Palant is the Editorial Board Member of many peer reviewed journals. Carlos Palant international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study
Research Interest
His special interests include renal physiology and clinical translational research. Research activities encompass the following areas: (1) epidemiology of acute kidney injury, development of novel types of dialysis filters, cardio-renal syndrome pathophysiology, mesangial cell calcium physiology; (2) role of renal artery denervation in the treatment of refractory hypertension; (3) epidemiology of acute kidney injury, critical care nephrology; (4) role of gravitational fields on yeast genetics, renal tubular transport systems. He also supports potential epidemiologic studies utilizing the VA CPRS database.
