Biography
Anne-Katrin Kantzer is a paediatrician and child and adolescent psychiatrist, and postdoc researcher at the GNC. She has long clinical experience in Germany and in Sweden. Anne-Katrin is senior physician/care unit consultant at the Unit for Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry in Uddevalla and director of graduate studies at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry clinic, NU Hospital group, Sweden. Anne-Katrin obtained her Ph.D. in 2002 with a thesis entitled "New prognostic factors in glioblastoma multiforme by using combined molecular genetical and immunological methods".
Research Interest
Her research focus at the GNC is on young children with ASD, but also more generally on ESSENCE. A current study is about the prevalence of chronic pain in children and adolescents with ESSENCE diagnoses and, vice versa, the prevalence of ESSENCE related difficulties in children with chronic pain.
