Biography
Lisa Dinkler is a psychologist who studied in Jena and Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She is a full-time PhD student at the GNC. Her main research interest lies in the etiology and trajectory of eating disorders (EDs). Applying twin methodology, Lisa’s PhD project investigates genetic and environmental factors contributing to the development of EDs, as well as the link between EDs and neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs). With longitudinal data from “The Child and Adolescent Twin Study in Sweden” and “The Gothenburg Study on Anorexia Nervosa”, she studies the trajectories of children with early eating problems and/or neurodevelopmental problems into adulthood. Lisa’s research also explores neuropsychological factors common to EDs and NDDs with the help of eye tracking methodology. Previously, Lisa has been doing research on the effect of childhood maltreatment on NDDs, and she wrote her master’s thesis at the GNC on the association of childhood maltreatment with antisocial personality disorder and psychopathy among young adult
