Biography
Richard Delorme is head of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Robert Debré University Hospital, Paris, France and professor of Child Psychiatry at the Paris Diderot University (France). He obtained his M.D. at the medical school of Paris Diderot University in 1999 and acquired experience in clinics for child and adolescent neuropsychiatric patients exhibiting a broad range of CNS defects. He is particularly interested in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Anxiety Disorders (especially Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, OCD). Richard Delorme is also involved in several research programs and specifically in the search for vulnerability genes associated to developmental disorders such as ASD and OCD. He obtained his Ph.D. with a thesis entitled "Vulnerability Genes in OCD" at the University of Paris XII in 2005. He performed his post-doctorate in the laboratory of Human Genetics and Cognitive Functions directed by Thomas Bourgeron at the Institut Pasteur, Paris, France. He has published over 60 articles in international peer-reviewed journals.
