Biography
Svenny Kopp is a child and adolescent psychiatry specialist. Since the 1990s she has been working as a Chief Physician at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic (BUP) and at the Child Neuropsychiatry Clinic (CNC) at Queen Silvia Children's Hospital, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Gothenburg. She is currently working part-time as an adult psychiatrist at the Stenblomman Healthcare Centre in Kungsbacka. Svenny Kopp's research is focused on girls with neuropsychiatric difficulties. From 1999 to 2001 Svenny Kopp led the “Girl Project”, an extensive clinical examination of girls with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder and Tourette syndrome. In 2010 she put forward her dissertation “Girls with Social and/or Attention Impairments”. Her current research involves a follow-up study of the girls from the “Girl Project”. This three-year study was initiated in 2015 and will include interviews with the 100 women and 60 controls (now aged 18-34).
